Clacton Town Board is developing a ten-year strategic vision for the town along with plans for local investment.
Soon you will have the opportunity to make your views and opinions known at this stage of the work.
By completing this survey you’ll contribute valuable insight that will help the Clacton Town Board and our local stakeholders work together to shape a vibrant, welcoming, and thriving Clacton — a place where people can live, work, and visit with pride.
The survey is being run by CVS Tendring – and you will be able to find the link to the online survey here once is it live.
Alternatively, you will find paper copies at the following venues in Clacton: Imperial House, 20-22 Rosemary Road, Clacton; and at the Town Hall, Station Road, Clacton.
We will also be running a number of pop up events. You can find details of where and when these are here once the consultation is live.
If you would like to continue helping us to build a thriving Clacton town centre for everyone to live, work and visit please provide your email address through the Speak to us page. We will only use this to contact you about Clacton town centre developments, and we won’t share your information with anyone else.
Historic consultations
New designs for part of the exciting Clacton Civic Quarter project were revealed in September 2024 as part of a second consultation.
Tendring District Council (TDC) sought people’s views on the plans to replace the former Carnarvon House building on Carnarvon Road, with new homes, a mixed-use civic and community space including the creation of new creative workspaces, and improvements to the existing High Street car park.
The Carnarvon Terrace designs, which have since been approved by TDC’s planning committee, designs were updated following a previous consultation, and people were invited to have their say.
The consultation ran from 23 September 2024 to 28 September.
The updated designs and a summary of changes since the previous public engagement can be viewed on the project page on the council’s website at www.tendringdc.gov.uk/luf-blocks/clacton-civic-quarter.
