Coordinated enforcement that safeguards Clacton Town Centre, promotes positive behaviour, attracts investment, and builds local pride.

TDC currently oversees enforcement on issues such as littering, fly-tipping, nuisance, contaminated land, planning, and anti-social behaviour. A new integrated team will introduce a triage system and a zero-tolerance approach to persistent non-compliance, enabling swift resolution of minor cases and freeing specialists for complex matters.

Supported by the PiP Fund, the initiative will strengthen business compliance through collaboration with the Town Centre Manager, increase targeted enforcement in Clacton, provide officer training, establish clear escalation routes for legal action, and ensure rapid responses with evidence gathering where needed. The team will work closely with partners to leverage their powers and deliver the improvements outlined.
