Revitalise Clacton’s Town Centre through comprehensive public space upgrades

Building on the momentum of the CRP programme to improve the quality and appeal of public spaces in Clacton Town Centre through enhancements such as upgraded paving, seating, bins, street furniture, landscaping, and wayfinding. The project will expand the ongoing CRP programme to include:
– Expansion of geography of the CRP public realm study
– Coordination with opportunities captured in the emerging Clacton Masterplan
– Delivery of at least one public realm ‘hotspot area’ (Town Centre square, Railway Station forecourt and its connected environs, or Pier Avenue)
– Town Centre wayfinding strategy and upgrades, including the ‘Welcome to Clacton’ sign and creation of visual cues to Clacton’s heritage/the Clacton Airshow
– Community co-design and stewardship plan
