Create an attractive and active streetscape through shopfront upgrades

Support to eligible Town Centre businesses to improve the frontage of their shops, including fascia/signage upgrades, doors and entrances, awnings and external lighting. This project will expand on improvements already made through the first phase of the programme through:
– Developing a design guide which creates a compelling vision and guidance for the shopfronts
– Introducing Article 4 enforcements to better control proposals
– Potential to include training /upskilling programmes to deliver upgrades
– Development of a Shop Keepers Charter, with provision of a window sticker to show commitment to the Charter, for those provided with Grants.

Grants are available now through Tendring District Council’s Tendring4Growth team.
