A study that helps build Clacton’s economic vitality through diverse uses and social spaces

A study to develop a future economic vision for the Town Centre, building on the ongoing Clacton masterplan. The study can build a roadmap for a future mix of Town Centre uses and include the exploration of the feasibility a new workspace hub, which builds on the success of Sunspot in Jaywick Sands, and of a food hall or renovated food offer within the Town Centre, to create a vibrant social hub and upgrade Clacton’s food offering. The study should consider the provision of affordable spaces for local SMEs and food entrepreneurs while delivering diverse, healthy dining options for residents and visitors.

The study should recommend how Clacton’s evening and night time economy could be better activated, consider the reuse of vacant or underutilised buildings, and establish a community gathering places that enhance the Town Centre’s appeal and economic vitality
