Clacton Airshow 2026 set to lift off with the return of the Red Arrows

13th April 2026

The magnificent Red Arrows will make a thrilling return to the Essex Sunshine Coast this summer, headlining the 2026 Clacton Airshow.

The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team – one of the world’s premier aerobatic display teams – will perform on both days of the 33rd Clacton Airshow, taking place on 27 and 28 August 2026.

Representing the speed, agility and precision of the Royal Air Force, the Red Arrows serve as the public face of the service and act as ambassadors for the United Kingdom both at home and overseas.

The iconic Hawk fast-jet team is the first flight announcement for what is shaping up to be a breath-taking airshow, with more displays set to be announced in the coming months.

Jessica Bryan, Clacton Airshow event director and Culture and Visitor Services Manager at Tendring District Council (TDC), “I’m delighted to confirm that the Red Arrows will once again take to the skies at Clacton Airshow,” she said.

“Their breathtaking displays are renowned for their precision and skill, and they never fail to leave the crowds spellbound.

The Clacton Airshow attracts visitors of all ages, from aviation enthusiasts to families enjoying a day out, and their return underlines the exceptional quality of displays people can expect at the 2026 airshow.

“If you haven’t already marked Clacton Airshow in your diary, now is the time to do it and start planning a visit to the beautiful Essex Sunshine Coast.”

Jessica said plans for the 2026 event are already well underway, with organisers working closely with the airshow’s flight director to create an unforgettable flying display.

“This year’s Clacton Airshow is shaping up to be an extraordinary event,” she said. “Visitors can look forward to a fabulous free event with thrilling arial performances alongside a vibrant programme of attractions on the ground.

“We’re really excited about what’s coming together and keep an eye on the Essex Sunshine Coast Facebook and Instagram pages to be the first to hear about further details as our plans continue to take shape.”
